JANUARY MOONSET FROM BRITISH CAMP

Oil and cold wax medium.

59cm x 84cm

On this morning the valleys were filled with mist.   In this painting there is a broken line that starts in the lower left and zig zags to the horizon and up towards the faintly seen setting full moon.   The line is a warm yellow/orange.

I like the idea of a line walking through the landscape, an abstract wanderer from the foreground up to the setting moon.

The landscape changes from frosty cool colours to warm colours as the rising sun reaches it.
